PJT Speaker Event
This year, WUFC had the pleasure to host the second Speaker Event with Paul J. Taubman (Founder & CEO of PJT Partners), who discussed his experiences at Wharton during his college years and how that led to the founding of PJT Partners.
Annual Conference
The Annual Conference is one of WUFC's most anticipated events of the year. This year's conference was a wonderful opportunity for WUFC members to hear from our Keynote Speaker Michael Klein (Founder & CEO of M. Klein & Company), listen to a panel with Penn seniors who will be working in finance, and network with club sponsors including Insight Partners and FT Partners.
NYC Trek
During the NYC Trek, we took club members to New York City. We toured the city, had lunch at the Empire State Building, and visited our sponsor Rothschild & Co at their office. It was a great opportunity to learn about the firm's recruiting process and network with professionals.
Breaking Into the Buy-Side: A Private Equity Panel
During the Breaking Into the Buy-Side: A Private Equity Panel, seniors who will be working full-time at different PE firms like Blackstone, Ares, Bain Capital, KKR, and Vista Equity Partners talked about their experiences during recruiting and their internships. They also discussed various investment strategies (growth equity, leveraged buyouts, venture capital, etc.) that their firms typically use.
